PlayStation Now-ready Bravia 4K TVs launching in June, cost as much as $25,000

This week Sony announced that its upcoming line of PlayStation Now-ready 4K “Ultra HD” Bravia TV sets will launch in June. When it came back up, the first thing I did was load into Doshia’s Lair outside Daggerfall with a pickup group that intended to finish a Fighter’s Guild quest called Anchors From the Harbour.

Founders leave Torchlight developer Runic

Filed under: Fantasy , MMO Industry , News Items Runic Games co-founders Travis Baldtree and Erich Schaefer have departed the studio responsible for Torchlight and its sequel. Baldtree announced the decision on the Runic forums, and wrote that he’s “super-stoked” to return to indie development and the ability to wear many hats at once. “I should say from the outset that this is an amicable departure, that I consider the amazing team at Runic my friends and family, and that it is a privilege that they’ve let me get away with running the place for this long,” he explained.

Guild Wars 2’s Tournament of Legends begins April 26th

Filed under: Fantasy , Events (In-Game) , PvP , News Items , Guild Wars 2 , Promotions , Buy-to-Play Yesterday evening, ArenaNet community coordinator Allie Murdock announced Guild Wars 2’s first-ever Tournament of Legends , debuting on April 26-27 in Europe and May 3-4 in North America. The tournament format is a best-of-three single-elimination style for the prelims and best-of-five for the finals. Prizes include legendary weapons, legendary components, Black Lion weapon tickets, and gems; participants and stream viewers alike have a chance at walking away with some sweet goodies.

Elder Scrolls Online promises ‘polished, lag-free launch experience’

Filed under: Betas , Fantasy , Launches , Dev Diaries , The Elder Scrolls Online , Subscription ZeniMax Lead Developer Matt Firor rallied the legions of Elder Scrolls Online fans today with a lengthy post about what the studio’s done and what it’s planning to do to ensure a successful launch of the game. Firor said that beta feedback and testing has been invaluable, prompting the team to streamline the starting experience and make combat “more substantial.” He was also impressed by what he saw during testing: “Some of the things we’ve discovered with your help excite and inspire us — like seeing that 98% of characters created have a unique appearance, or seeing the first emperor crowned in our epic PvP system — while other findings challenge us to make the game better.” To ready the game for launch, there will be one final stress test this weekend

ArcheAge Russia is blocking non-Russian IPs [Updated]
